Description

After moving to Vietnam over 10 years ago, I was immediately struck by all of the alternative medical treatments that are commonly practiced here.

Upon some investigation, it turns out that the Vietnamese practice Chinese medical techniques and nutrition that have been used for thousands of years THAT WORK.

Over the years, I have observed, studied, and used a number of these techniques, from ingesting simple herbs to treat illness to the now well-known art of "cupping".

Harry is the director of the Vincent C. Ross Institute of Accounting Research and the Philip Bardes Professor of Accounting and Finance at New York University Stern School of Business. In his current position, Professor Lev teaches courses in accounting and financial analysis.

Professor Harry has been with NYU for seven years. His primary research areas of interest include corporate governance, earnings management, financial accounting, financial statement analysis; intangible assets/intellectual capital; capital markets; and mergers and acquisitions. Professor Lev is the author of several books including Intangibles: Management, Measurement, and Reporting, Financial Statement Analysis: A New Approach, and Accounting and Information Theory, and has published numerous articles in research publications including The Journal of Finance; Journal of Accounting Research; The Bell Journal of Economics; and The Accounting Review. Professor Lev has been recognized by Accounting Today as one of the top 100 Most Influential People in the accounting profession, and was awarded the Outstanding Educator Award by the American Accounting Association, as well as an honorary doctorate by Vasaa University, Finland, and numerous other awards. Professor Lev has testified several times before Congress on Enron and other accounting/auditing issues, and works with the SEC, FASB, and the European Union, as well as with major corporations.
